Muhomor — Flower Boutique
Luxury e-commerce for an artisan flower atelier with editorial imagery

Muhomor is an artisan flower atelier in Kaliningrad. The product: handcrafted seasonal bouquets positioned above market price. The brand: not a flower shop, but an editorial art object. The brief: heavy editorial photography, lightning-fast load, a catalogue the atelier owner updates herself.
Challenge
Luxury positioning demands visual weight — full-screen photography, precise whitespace, minimal decoration. Yet the target audience browses on mobile before a holiday — nobody waits four seconds. The challenge was reconciling editorial aesthetics with a sub-100 KB performance budget.
Approach
Thin shell + progressive loading architecture: the first screen delivers 17 KB of JS, everything else loads as the user scrolls. Payload CMS headless provides a structured catalogue with products, prices and images — the owner adds a new bouquet in two minutes. All images are compressed to WebP with progressive LQIP blur placeholders while loading.
Outcome
Initial JS shell: 17 KB — lighter than most icon sets. DCL 340 ms, full page including editorial photography: 537 ms. Lighthouse Performance 99. The owner manages the catalogue herself: seasonal items change weekly with no developer involvement.
